Grading Quiz Tasks

Skilljar quizzes allow manually or automatically graded Free form response questions. If a question requires an instructor to manually grade their response, you can do this from the Skilljar Dashboard.

You can access open tasks from two locations:

  • Review all open tasks from Students and then the Tasks tab
  • Review individual tasks on a student level

Manually Grading Free Form Responses from Tasks

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Students
  2. From Students you can select a student to see any open Tasks, or view all open Tasks by selecting the Tasks tab
  3. From the Tasks tab, select a Quiz Response:

  4. Once on this page, you'll see a summary of responses that were submitted by the student

  5. Below the summary, you'll see each student response that requires grading.
  6. Mark the student's response as correct or incorrect.
    Screen_Shot_2018-08-21_at_1.50.32_PM.pngOptionally, add a comment to provide additional feedback or instructions to the students. This comment will appear for students once their quiz has been completely graded. 
  7. Additionally, enable the setting to email the student once you've completely graded their quiz.

  8. If the quiz is set to show quiz results on failure and a student fails the quiz, the student will receive your comment upon reviewing their results.
  9. Click Save to complete the task and return the quiz results to the students.

 

Manually Grading Free Form Responses from Student Course Progress

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Students
  2. From Students, select a student
  3. Select a Course with an open task:

  4. After selecting a course, the student's Course Progress page will appear. If a task has not been completed, the "Task Completed" field will be blank: task.png
  5. Click on the Quiz Response link to review open free form response questions.
  6. Once on this page, you'll see a summary of responses that were submitted by the student

  7. Below the summary, you'll see each student response that requires grading.
  8. Mark the student's response as correct or incorrect.

    When you have been studying for the competitive tests, it is common to forget what you learn. This is the reason everyone needs proper revision of the topics so that those can be remembered. Even I am doing the Bar Exam Prep from https://testmaxprep.com/bar-exam and will give myself a week in the last to revise entire syllabus.
