Skilljar Customer Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Skilljar Customer Community! This is a forum for you, our customers, to learn from each other, network, and share best practices for achieving your Customer Training Program goals.

This community is a space where Customer Education professionals can empower and inspire one another in an environment designed for communal learning. As a member of this community, we ask that you help us maintain a positive educational experience for all members by participating with integrity, respect, and for the betterment of your industry peers.

Our Community strives to be a place where members will:

    • Explore and discuss product functionality and creative solutions to training program development and improvement

    • Inspire others to create best-in-class Customer Education Programs through partnership and collaboration

    • Share specific learnings from your own experience and gain insight into the best practices of other peer programs  

    • Connect with industry experts for recommendations and feedback on the implementation of your training site

    • Feel supported by like-minded individuals striving to establish leadership within their industry and elevate the standards of customer training as we know it

Please review the following guidelines prior to posting or commenting in the community. All members will be held accountable for their engagement in adherence to the community standards detailed below. We look forward to your participation!

Community Mantra: This community is intended to be a resource for all Skilljar users, regardless of their level of expertise, use case, or role within a company. Please be respectful, friendly, and sincere in your interactions to help build an environment that encourages positive engagement and knowledge-sharing.  

Professionalism: You are welcome to share your perspective on relevant business topics, but please do so using appropriate tone and language. Abusive, derogatory, inflammatory, obscene, threatening, or violent content is strictly forbidden and will be promptly flagged and removed by Community moderators.

Content Policy: We ask that you help us maintain this vision by refraining from posting content related to product support, feature requests, and platform feedback. Our community is designed to connect Skilljar customers to one another with the purpose of continuous learning and development . Questions and feedback related to these topics are best addressed by the  Skilljar Support Team and your Customer Success and Implementation Managers. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Skilljar Support team with questions or feedback.

Organizational & Self-Promotion: While sharing relevant content and event opportunities produced by your team and organization are highly encouraged, please refrain from the following types of promotional content:

  • Job opportunities and recruiting posts - if you have a job you would like to post, email marketing@skilljar.com with the relevant information and we will post it to our Industry Careers list

  • Marketing initiatives and survey content

  • Promoting your company’s solution

  • Subject matter and collateral irrelevant to training program development

Community Privacy: Our community is available exclusively to current Skilljar users. This provides every member the assurance that they are involved with a best-in-class fellowship of talented and motivated training leaders across a variety of businesses and organizations, while eliminating common concerns surrounding public community access and behavior.

Company Privacy: As a representative of your organization, please abide by the policies that govern the public distribution of your company’s information, including copyright, patent, trademark, publicity, and/or other proprietary information or intellectual property.   

Personal Privacy: It is up to you, and only you, to decide what information to share about yourself. Do not post another user's email or postal address, phone numbers, or other personal information.

Contributing: The greatest resource in this community is you! The best contributions provide relevant, insightful information, and ask important questions. We encourage you to both ask for help and help others by providing constructive responses and useful feedback. False, inaccurate, and misleading information, or unsolicited advertising, is not helpful to the community.

Spam: Do not post or link to viruses, bots, worms, trojan horses or other malicious software, or utilize the community to post, link to, generate, distribute, or promote any kind of spam. Do not solicit community members for any commercial purpose and do not spam the community with advertisements or self-promotion.

Quick Tips: 

  • Search first: There is a lot of information available in this community, as well as on Skilljar Academy and Skilljar Support guides, so search the forums first to see if your question has already been answered or is being discussed.

  • Be concise: In general, shorter posts are more likely to be read, so stay on point and relevant.

  • Location, location, location: If you have a question or insight, post it only once in the most relevant forum. This helps ensure we do not have duplicative posts and all expertise is shared equally.

We reserve the right to immediately remove any posts that do not conform to our Community Guidelines, without warning. We also reserve the right to temporarily or permanently suspend or bar a user who violates these Community Guidelines.
