Troubleshooting Browser Issues with Cookies

If you are experiencing difficulty loading course content or see these browser error messages, try the following steps to resolve the issue.

Error Message: "Error 400: Bad Request"

  • Cause: This error message surfaces when there's an issue with the cookies stored on a learner's local web browser.
  • Solution: Clearing the browser's cookies will resolve this error message. Follow your browser's instructions to clear your cookies. Instructions for:

Error Message: "Missing Authentication Cookie"

  • Cause: This error surfaces when a learner's browser or network settings disable or block Third Party Cookies. Skilljar will use Cookies to authorize access to specific learning content.
  • Solution: Add the following Skilljar URL as a trusted site, or update local web browser settings to allow Third Party Cookies from:
