Integrating LEAi with Skilljar
LEAi integrates directly with Skilljar. To enable publishing courses to Skilljar, you need to create an API key and provide it to LearnExperts Customer Support in a request to turn on the Skilljar integration. This enables users to select "Publish to Skilljar" as the export format in the Export Settings of the Export Course page in LearnExperts.
Creating Skilljar API Keys
This integration requires a Skilljar API Key for LearnExperts to use to update content in your Skilljar account.
Follow instructions here to generate a key for your LearnExperts app account. To complete the set up, contact customersupport@learnexperts.ca with your API key generated from the Skilljar Dashboard.
Publishing courses from LEAi to Skilljar
Publishing your course directly to Skilljar sends SCORM packages to the SCORM area of your Skilljar dashboard. This integration can also add these to courses and create lessons. To create separate courses using this content you can leverage the SCORM assets like any other uploaded asset from the dashboard.
How to Upload SCORM content in a course
Replacing Skilljar Courses/Lessons:
The export option of "Publish to Skilljar" of a LEAi course creates a new course in Skilljar.
When edits are made in LEAi to the course and you need to republish the course, you can either select Replace Existing or Create New.
Replace Existing updates the existing course in Skilljar while Create New creates a brand new course in Skilljar.
Publish your course once reviewed in Skilljar.
After the course has been created and you have reviewed the settings in your Skilljar dashboard, follow the normal publishing procedure to make this content available to learners.
